Use WPA Key

The longer and more characters we have our password configured, the more difficult it will be for hackers to obtain our password by brute force. The key-decryption programs commonly used by cybercriminals are generally based on “key dictionaries” that a computer tests. Thus, the more complex the password, the more dictionaries must be used and the longer it will take.
A 20-character key with uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols, would take several years to be deciphered with a standard power computer, and that with the proper dictionary, practically impossible!
Turn Off The Router If You Are Not Going To Use It
Finally, remember to turn off the router when you do not use it. This is the only 100% secure protection against hackers, of course. If you turn off the router when you are not using it, it is likely to be a considerable annoyance to the hacker; he will get tired of your curfew, so most likely, he will go looking for the Internet elsewhere.
In addition, if you turn off the router while the hacker is in the middle of an attack, he will likely have to start from scratch, another aspect that will make him give up over time.
